The class provided premium opportunities to practice woodworking skills on quality machinery. The projects has a range of sophistication so that novices and more experienced woodworkers could expand their knowledge, I felt well prepared for the class as I had taken the Beginning Woodwork class before hand. This course di an excellent job organizing students with a quick lesson every few hours, then Kate and Carl gave us independant work time. There were always available to answer questions. They are excellent teachers. The most difficult aspect of the class was translating design ideas into the project but having several boxes to complete gave each of us a way to learn at our own pace. Feb 2017

This class provided lots of challenges particularly installing hinges and I learned alot about finishing, grain patterning and continuity, proportions and design. I would like to see more hand tools covered in the class and tools more likely to be found in a part time weekend garage woodworker.

I wish I had read a bit more about the types of woods and glues prior to going. I really appreciated the help with housing and I would like to see more class photos of us on the facebook page. I would also like a Diploma so I can frame it. April 2017
