Intermediate Woodwork

Intermediate level students can begin to turn their attention to more sophisticated project work and hone their milling, joinery and finishing skills learnt in the Beginner Classes.  Intermediate students will learn new skills and techniques in the following areas while working on assigned projects:

  • Making Doors and drawers
  • Installing hardware such as hinge, handles, and drawer glides
  • Making multiples
  • Cutting multi face tapers
  • Making and installing shelves
  • Curved leg/apron work using templates
  • Burning and embellishment, basic carving
  • Edge routing treatments
  • Intermediate Finishing Techniques
